Create Cards with Fun Stamping Techniques!

Welcome! Ice cream is good any time of the year--right!?! So, as we continue our roller coaster weather season, I created this bright and cheerful card. Our color palette creates a happy reminder that spring and summer are just around the corner.

The sentiments remind the recipient to take and enjoy life one step (scoop) at a time. 😊 This stamp set would also be fantastic on your scrapbook pages!

The stamps I used are included in the One Scoop at a Time Cardmaking Workshop Your Way Kit. This a super fun theme of ice cream and pineapple! Yum! Oh, yes, it brings thoughts of warm, carefree days!!! 😊

When I stamped my ice cream, I used both the 'Second Generation' and the 'Rock n Roll' techniques. Both are easy peasy!

In a nutshell, you'll stamp the Raspberry ink on a piece of scrap paper, then again on your cardstock, without re-inking. Hence, the technique term, second generation. 😉

After you have your second generation scoop, re-ink your stamp by gently rolling the bottom and/or side, and stamp over the top of your second generation scoop.

Along with the Raspberry ink, I also used Almond for the cone and Pewter for Enjoy Life and banner outline.

With the clear polymer stamp on your clear My Acrylix block, there is no problem in realigning your images. Woo Hoo! These techniques add a nice highlighted effect to your artwork.

Who Tells Your Story?

Welcome! We made it into March, and it's snowing again! Yes, it is winter, yet peaks of daffodil leaves are popping up all around! Yay! 😊 When the roads are not ice covered it's nice to get out and explore! When they are, create!

If you do not tell your story, who will? A wonderful gift to give loved ones is time. When those special moments have come and gone, how joyful it is to page through memory books and reminiscence. 💝

So, on this snowy winter day, I've selected a few photos from last summer. 😎

Little day trips are such a fun way to see and discover things that we often miss that are so near. Whether going off alone or with others, near or far, these outings are worth noting. I created this layout with a visit we had last autumn to a nearby state park in mind.

On this particular visit, we enjoyed our walk/easy hike through the area, noting the beautiful surroundings and flora, history, and amazingly, the bison. They were actually in view!!! There were mature ones and calves--in view--close to the fence. Wow! Previous visits, whether with the whole family or not we NEVER saw any of the resident bison, so this page truly deserves an AWESOME title!
