Summer Vibes Cards & More!

Bright & Cheerful Summer Vibes Cards!

Welcome!  I'm so glad you have stopped by!  We are well into summer, and this Summer Vibes Creative Suite has my creative juices flowing!

Today we'll look at a few of the fun cards I created using the delightful Summer Vibes Papers, Cardmaking Stamp and Thin Cuts.    This stamp set is also available on its own, without the Thin Cuts, if you prefer.

These adorable stamped images come to 'life' when colored with Watercolor Pencils.  Make them glisten with a touch of your Shimmer Brush.  My go-to ink, when using my Shimmer Brush with my Watercolor Pencils, and/or Tri-Blend Markers, is the Archival Black Ink.  This ink is waterproof, light-fast, fade-proof, archival safe, and deepest black.  💝

When using Thin Cuts, I am often asked whether they should stamp or cut first.  Typically, I will cut multiple Thin Cut images first, and then stamp them.  My recommendation is to try both ways, and see which way suits YOU.  Quick Tip -- If you do stamp first, you may wish to use a bit of washi tape or painter's tape to hold things in place, so your die doesn't accidentally slip and cut away a portion of your stamped image.  😊

When creating my two Summer Vibes --Sending Sunshine cards, I wanted to have my sentiment in the center of the sun pop.  To achieve the two toned sun on each, I stamped the sunshine with Lemonade Ink.  Then, using a 1-inch circle, I previously cut, I stamped the image again with Candy Apple Red over a piece of scrap paper.  Then, using Foam Dots to give it a pop, I adhered it to the center of the sun.

Along with the Summer Vibes Cardmaking Stamp Set, here's an adorable gatefold card, created with the Summer Vibes Cardmaking Workshop Kit.
Our Workshop Kits for cards and scrapbooking come with easy to follow printed directions, including photos. Of course, you can use these as a springboard for your own creations as well!  💝

How delightful is this stamped snow-cone?!? With our typically high summer temps, this would be a most welcome treat!  My fun little confetti surrounding the popped-up treat, are made with second generation stamping using Candy Apple Ink.   To achieve 'second' generation, simply ink your stamp, stamp on scrap paper, then your circle for your card.  Easy peasy. 😊

To give my snow-cone a bit a sparkle, I colored it in with the Peach and Lemonade Shimmer Brushes.

For my belly band, I used Candy Apple Cardstock.  Then for the snow-cone base, my trusty Shaker Window Thin Cuts set was up to the task.

Just for fun, here's a couple more cards I created with components of the Summer Vibes Creative Collection!  😎
